Colombo & Kandy Tour

Day-01 Colombo-Kandy Arrival at Bandaranayake International Air port.
Your will be assisted by a representative/chauffeur from our office. Drive
to Kandy en route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala is located
by a river called Mahaoya. There are many baby elephants raised to maturity
after having been found abandoned or injured in the jungles of Sri Lanka It
is most interesting to see milk feeding of baby elephants and visit the bathing
site by the river. Pinnawala is also the first of its kind in Sri Lanka for
breeding elephants in captivity.
Kandy, the last capital of Singhalese kings and the principal cultural capital
of Sri Lanka.
The last king named Sri Wicrama Rajasinghe belonged to dynasty of South India.
Kandy is located 488 meters above sea level and surrounded by beautiful mountains
and valleys. Recently, Kandy has been named as a "Heritage City".
After lunch begin sightseeing tour in Kandy. Living monuments in Kandy include
the 'Temple of Tooth' the most sacred shrine for Buddhists all over the world.
The other places of interest include, famous Hindu and Skanda shrines, the
Royal Botanical Gardens-one of the most beautiful gardens in South Asia, the
University of Ceylon, the foremost University of Sri Lanka founded by the
British 60 Years ago, public market place of Kandy and Gem Museum. The day
finishes with a Cultural show, reenacting the traditional forms of Dance and
Music of Sri Lanka.

Day-02 Colombo Return to Colombo. Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka and
commence a city tour that includes: Fort, the former British administrative
centre, Old Parliament Building, a Hindu Temple, and a Dutch Church. Also
visit the BMICH, see the replica of Aukana Buddha Statue and Independence
Square. Afternoon shopping tour is added, and the guests can shop at ODEL,
which is famous for garments, Noritake Porcelain centre. An optional visit
to a casino at night. Casinos open 24 hours in the city and games include
Baccarat, Blackjack, Roulette and A. Porker. Customers who try their luck
are entitled to complimentary Dinner, Drinks & any available floorshows.

enjoy the magnificent scenery of Water Falls, mist-clad mountains, British-style
houses with fragrant flower gardens. Visit a tea Factory, which is manufacturing
the best quality high grown tea in Sri Lanka and refresh yourself for a cup
of freshly brewed Sri Lankan tea. Visit the famous Sita Amman Kovil which
belongs to the Rama Ravana Legend. Nuwara Eliya is the highest mountain terrain
in Sri lanka, located at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level. This
city in the hill country of Sri Lanka, was named by the British as "Little
England'. Overnight stay at a Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day-03 Colombo After breakfast proceed to Colombo via Hatton, Kitulgala
.On the way, see some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka, such
as St.Clairs and Devon. Stop at Kitulgala for lunch. Kitulgala was the location
of the famous film 'Bridge on the River Kuwai' directed by Oscar Award Winning

Sigiriya - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Bentota - Colombo

Day-01 Colombo-Sigiriya Arrival at Bandaranayake International Air port.
Guests will be assisted by a representative from our office. Proceed to Sigiriya
en route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. One of the most popular places

Heritage site and climb Sigiriya rock fortress. This is a city, palace and
garden complex centering a 200 metre high rock with 1198 steps is a glowing
tribute to the vision of King Kashyapa who created this Palace. Sigiriya is
considered the 08th wonder of the world. Sigiriya is a UNESCO declared "World
Heritage Monument". Sigiriya is very famous for its lovely paintings
and frescoes belong to the 5th century A.D. These frescoes closely resemble
the cave painting of Ajantha and Ellora in India. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day-02 Sigiriya - Kandy After B/F drive to Kandyn en route visit Dambulla
Rock Temple to see magnificent paintings belong to 8th Century, AD. Kandy
is the last capital of the Sinhala kings of Sri Lanka, which ceded to the
British throne in 1815 closing the uninterrupted Sri Lankan history of native
kings for 2500 years, located 448 meters above sea level and surrounded by
the beautiful mountains and valleys. Recently, Kandy has been named as a "Heritage
City". En route visit spice gardens in Matale. Sightseeing & shopping
Tour in Kandy. The other places of interest include, Handicraft, Gem Museum
and the Royal Botanical Garden one of the most beautiful garden in South Asia.
Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy, the most sacred shrine for Buddhist
all over the world. Evening you can see a Cultural show, reenacting the traditional

Day-03 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya Proceed to our next destination Nuwara
Eliya, enjoy the magnificent scenery of Water Falls, mist-clad mountains,

Day-04 Nuwara Eliya - Bentota
After breakfast leave Nuwara Eliya and drive to Bentota-the destination is
a beach resort. Bentota is approximately 100 km south of Colombo. The sea
is calm here, and this is an easy going town and the beach, a mixture of shimmering
white sands and small intimate bays. Overnight stay in Bentota
Day-05 Bentota - Colombo Return to Colombo. Colombo-the capital of Sri

Sigiriya - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya - Kataragama - Bentota - Colombo

Day-01 Airport - Sigiriya Guests will be met at airport by our representative
and commence the tour to Sigiriya: On the way visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage,
which is one of the most popular places among the local and foreign visitors.
Many cute baby elephants who have been orphaned in the jungles of Sri Lanka
could be seen here. Pinnawela also is the center for breeding elephants in
captivity. This Orphanage is managed by the Dept. of Wildlife and Nature Protection
of Sri Lanka. This will be a memorable experience to our tourists. Following
day there will be a visit to Sigiriya Heritage site and climb Sigiriya rock

Sigiriya is very famous for its lovely paintings and frescoes belonging to
the 5th century A.D. The ramparts, motes, the incredible water garden with

Day-02 Sigiriya - Polonnaruwa - Sigiriya After breakfast visit Polonnaaruwa
ancient city. Polonnaruwa is the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, famous for
magnificent archaeological sites, Buddhist and Hindu monuments and statues
carved out in living rocks. Polonnaruwa is called 'poem in stone' as is world
famous for incredible size of Buddha Statues and beautiful circular Buddhist
shrines carved out of living rocks. The archaeological museum located by the
giant reservoir called "Parakrama Samudraya" (Sea of Parakrama)
built by the greatest Sinhala King of Polonnaruwa. There are two important
splendid shrines you should not miss, namely the Vatadage (circular shrine)
and the Gal Vihara one of the marvelous cluster of Buddha statues made of

Day-05 Nuwara Eliya - Kataragama The drive to Kataragama starts. 7 km
away from Nuwara Eliya is another prominent peak, Hakgala. At its foot lie
the Hakgala Botanical Gardens and beyond the Hakgala Natural Reserve. This
beautiful garden is located 1707 meters above sea level. The rock Hakgala,
("Jaw Rock") which rises 1,500 feet straight up above the garden
is said to have been carried here from the Himalaya in the jaws of Hanuman,
the mythical monkey general who helped Prince Rama rescue Princess Sita, an
Indian Princess, from the Sri Lankan King Rawana, in the Ramayana epic. Legend
says the Sita Amman Kovil, located close to the Hakgala Rock, is where Sita
was imprisoned. Stop at Rawana Falls, one of the most beautiful waters falls
in Sri Lanka. Afternoon there will be an adventurous jeep safari to Yala National
Park, the largest of its kind in Sri Lanka: The wild life paradise with a
terrain of scrub jungle, is a Strict Nature Reserve and National Park of 126,786
hectares. The majestic elephants are the most famous residents at Yala, while
the sight of a leopard sunning itself or lapping up water at one of the many
waterholes, could be a memorable experience.

Day-06 Kataragama - Bentota Proceed to Bentota, along the beautiful
Southern Coastal belt of Sri Lanka. You will see Hambantota and Tangalle both
fishery harbors beautifully located in the Southern coastal Belt of Sri Lanka.
Tangalle, one of the nicest spots along the Southern Coast. The town is easy
going and the beach a mixture of shimmering white sands and small intimate
bays. En route visit Galle you could see historical Portuguese and Dutch Forts
dating back to 15th centuries. Bentota is an easy going town and the beach,
a mixture of shimmering white sands and small intimate bays. There will be
a city tour of Bentota. About 5km (3 miles) south of Bentota, at the fishing
hamlet of Kosgoda, the hatchery releases thousands of hatchling green and
leatherback turtles into the wild after incubating them in fenced-off areas
